Activities

Here are some of the currently developed activities of the Bulgarian Psoriatic Group:

• Experimental studies: Now a research on the mechanism of action of some anti-psoriatic drugs using SCID (Severely Combined Immunodeficiency) mice is going on under the supervision of the psoriasis group.
• Psoriasis and the metabolic syndrome.
• The influence of drugs on the course of psoriasis: There is one PhD-thesis and more than 20 publications in the international specialized literature on this topic.
• Non-standard treatment of psoriasis:
  • Use of Rifampicin in the treatment of psoriasis.
  • Thalassotherapy of psoriasis at the Black Sea coast.
  • Balneotherapy of psoriasis.
